Social Justice at Wake Forest

Martin Luther King, Jr. said "An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity." We are mulling over this quote this week as part of our (belated) campus celebration of his life and teachings. Take a few minutes to read our blog for some history on social justice at Wake Forest and inspiration on living out a life that encourages peace and justice in our world. And just in case you haven't seen it - check out his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech from the March on Washington.

Hit the Bricks for Brian

Hit the Bricks is quickly becoming a hallmark tradition at Wake Forest University. Students, faculty and staff gather on the Quad (Hearn Plaza) to run from 11am to 8pm. Everyone competes in various divisions and raises money which goes towards the Brian Piccolo Cancer Fund in honor of Wake Forest alumnus Brian Piccolo. For more information, please visit the Hit the Bricks website.
